Damon fans, start gearing up for an emotional hour when The Vampire Diaries signs off in May. "There's quite a lot of suffering and celebration in the last two episodes," Julie Plec warned teased. "Because of Markos's efforts to make the town of Mystic Falls a magic-free zone and the imminent destruction of the Other Side, lots of lives are in jeopardy and Damon has to, as he says, 'strap on his hero hair.'"
Then you'll love Thursday's very Enzo-centric episode! While he'll finally learn the truth about Maggie, he also puts Stefan and Elena in grave danger, which ultimately leads to an epic battle among the three. The question is: How will Damon handle being caught in the middle?

What to expect: Blood. Lots of it. Executive producer Julie Plec teases that fans can expect "an impressive body count" in the freshman drama's final hour, which will find one faction making a major play for control of the French Quarter. "We will see one faction make a very, very, very aggressive, hostile move and take everybody by surprise and leave a lot of the Quarter as we know it in chaos."
There's a very pregnant werewolf in New Orleans, but the big question is: What does a baby that's three-quarter werewolf and one-quarter vampire come out looking like? Elsewhere, the tension between all the city's supernatural (and human) factions reaches fever pitch."Every story line crashes in some way; it's action-packed," star Danielle Campbell says about the hour. Can we expect a major body count? "I would definitely say so," she says.
Longtime fans will not want to miss the season five finale as we're hearing some familiar faces will be popping up in Mystic Falls. Plus, EP Caroline Dries teases that the finale's cliffhanger is "up there" with the series' best, including Katherine chopping off Uncle John's fingers in season one.
There is no more confusion about who The Travelers are and what they want: to break a centuries-old witches' curse so they can finally settle. And if their leader Markos is successful, magic would be destroyed, which could be catastrophic for Bonnie and the other side. But perhaps Bonnie is headed to a world — and she won't be alone. "The finale definitely establishes new parameters in the environment we'll be shooting in Season 6," Paul Wesley teases. "They reset things in a way, and the writers have the ability to now change the circumstances and locations of where the show takes place."
A new lady is coming to the quarter to join one of the warring factions! Gia is described as a beautiful, soulful, edgy rocker girl who left home at an early age due to her rocky upbringing and is drawn to the New Orleans music scene. Whether she's a vampire, a werewolf, just plain human, or something entirely different has yet to be seen.

While season one has yet to wrap, we've managed to get our hands on some season two scoop: a new character coming to stir up trouble in the French Quarter! Fans will meet Kaleb, a paranormal psychologist, who (surprise, surprise!) is not a fan of the Mikaelson family.
