Danielle Campbell Cast As Davina In Originals Spin Off

Prison Break actress Danielle Campbell has been tapped to join the CW's back-door pilot The Originals, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The Originals revolves around Klaus (Joseph Morgan), who returns to the supernatural melting pot that is the French Quarter of New Orleans, a town he helped build centuries ago, where he is reunited with his diabolical former protégé Marcel (The Game's Charles Michael Davis).

Campbell, who also co-starred in the feature Prom, will play Davina, a young and troubled witch who has been over-sheltered by protective caregivers. Her innocence about the way the world works makes her equal parts wondrous and dangerous. She's delicate and ethereal but not without her own demons.
She joins Daniel Gillies and Phoebe Tonkin, who will reprise their roles as Original vampires Elijah and Hayley, respectively, and Daniella Pineda will play a witch named Sophie.

The pilot will air April 25 as an episode of The Vampire Diaries. Showrunner Julie Plec will pen the script for Warner Bros. Television.

'Stand By Me' Preview

Next week's episode will introduce us to Vaughn, one of the Five hunters, played by Charlie Bewley (formerly a vampire himself in the Twilight Saga), whom we saw briefly as he attacked Damon at the end of the episode. Meanwhile, Stefan tells Elena his true feelings about the possibility of being human again, and Jeremy helps Bonnie deal with discerning what's real and what's an illusion. Shane is comforted by a mysterious woman from his past (probably his wife), which means — ugh — he's still alive (for now). Naturally, there's a game-changing piece of information revealed about the cure that shakes things up yet again.

Tyler and a now-healthy Caroline (except for the whole 'being a dead vampire' thing) are home in Mystic Falls trying to translate the code on the Hunter's Sword, with no help from Klaus. Evil K must still be miffed that he had to admit to himself that he, like, tooootally loves Caroline and couldn't bear actually killing her.

In "Stand By Me," Stefan, Elena, and Jeremy head back to Mystic Falls, where Caroline worries about Elena's state of mind. Stefan reaches out to Dr. Fell (Torrey DeVitto) and Matt (Zach Roerig) for help. Despite Somerhalder's bad luck with fictional islands (RIP, Boone), judging from the photo, it appears he'll get back safely...eventually. But at the beginning of the episode, he's still on the island and must relay the news to Rebekah that Elena is in some sort of danger. Later on, everyone freaks out when Bonnie tells them the rest of Shane's plan.

Spoiler From E! Online - 6th February 2013

Vampire Diaries spoilers, I am begging you! What's coming up for Elena and Damon?

What's coming up is big, big changes. "Something happens in the near future, something pretty tragic and terrible and kind of show changing," Nina Dobrev tells us. "It's going to really affect every single person. It's going to especially affect Damon, Elena and Stefan in a pretty crazy, controversial way. The whole show is going to shift. It's going to be explosive." That sounds ominous. Any guesses as to what's about to go down?

Spoiler From TV Guide - 5th February 2013

Where have Tyler and Caroline been the last two episodes of Vampire Diaries? I need them back!

The good news is that they're back on screen Thursday. The bad news is that Caroline is put in perhaps her most dangerous situation yet and by someone pretty shocking.

Charles Michael Davis Cast As Marcel In Spin Off

Charles Michael Davis (The Game) is set to co-star opposite The Vampire Diaries‘ Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies and Phoebe Tonkin in the potential spinoff The Originals, which will be introduced in the April 25 episode of the CW drama.
Written by TVD co-creator/executive producer Julie Plec, The Originals centers on the Original family of vampires, as Klaus (Morgan) returns to the supernatural melting pot that is the French Quarter of New Orleans — a town he helped build centuries ago — and is reunited with his diabolical former protégé Marcel (Davis). Wicked, wild and charismatic, Marcel is a former kicked-around street rat who now calls the shots in the supernatural playground of New Orleans. As a modern-day vampire, he’s fierce and bold, able to accomplish as much with his charm as he is with his strength. Elijah (Gillies), intent on helping his self-destructive brother find redemption, must side with Marcel’s enemies in order to keep Klaus in line.

4x12 'A View To Kill' Rehash

Spoiler From Zap2It - 4th February 2013

This week, we said goodbye to Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) -- and despite a definite theme of resurrection this season, we're hearing that that's the very last we'll see of him in the present day. More bad news? Kol isn't the only character we're going to say goodbye to before the next hiatus. Okay, okay, so we have some good news for fans, too: Stefan's BFF Lexi will appear in another flashback episode this season. And more Lexi is always a good thing.
